Historic Tap Room

Surrounded by its post n’ beam ceiling and rustic wide plank floors held fast by cast nails, the Historic Tap Room is the Inn’s original dining room. Our magnificent six-foot open-hearth fireplace is the centerpiece of the Tap Room that will warm you as it did our early American ancestors. Feast on our generous meals and enjoy the comfort of our Yankee hospitality. Savor our traditional roasted turkey dinner, making every day Thanksgiving at the Publick House, or try our old-fashioned Yankee pot roast, sure to make you feel right at home. Tap Room is open seven days a week. Join us for a hearty and fulfilling lunch or dinner any day.

Ebenezer's Tavern

Ebenezer’s Tavern was named after our founder and keeper of the Inn, Colonel Ebenezer Crafts, who entertained Revolutionary troops hearthside with culinary feasts and specialty drinks. As a tribute to the colonel, the atmosphere has maintained its 18th century ambiance adorning oversized wingback chairs, comfortable couches by the fireplace, and the vintage brass beer taps and rum barrels. Sample our jumbo crab cakes and home-made potato chips, or our traditional meatloaf dinner and old-fashioned chicken pot pie; generous portions are served up from our tavern-style menu. Come hungry to feast on our generous lunch and dinner meals. The tavern lies outside our old-fashioned Bake Shoppe.
