The original restaurant of the Inn from 1771 is open seven days a week, serving full breakfasts, hearty lunches and home cooked dinners. Enjoy the cozy fireplace and a feeling like you've stepped back in time. This room can also be utilized for a private function with prior approval. Small business meetings held in other private rooms can break out for lunch or dinner here.
The Tap Room got its name after its innkeeper who was so robust, that he could lift a barrel of rum and drink directly from the bunghole or a.k.a. TAP. The large fireplace is indicative of the size needed to do all the work of a major business. It has a central beam running over the source of heat from which chains were hung with pots of water, stew, or candle wax.
